Elder Ma-Nee Chacaby
ElderMa-Nee (she/he) is a Two-Spirit Cree Knowledge Keeper, artist, activist, author, public speaker, and actor, residing in Anemki Wequedong (Thunder Bay)within the Treaty Territory of the Fort William First Nation. Renowned for her memoir, “A Two-Spirit Journey: The Autobiography of a Lesbian Ojibwa-CreeElder,” Elder Ma-Nee's life story is a profound account of resilience. As a strong advocate for youth and humanity, she speaks the Truth for Reconciliation throughout Turtle Island, embodying a heart-centred approach.
Her art, deeply inspired by Creator, reflects love and forgiveness, often featuring the Canada Goose, symbolizing the 8th Sacred Teaching of forgiveness. Her creative journey includes drum-making, painting, and various traditional crafts, drawing people in with its natural depth and storytelling.
Nicole, the founder of Superstar X, first learned about Elder Ma-Nee at a Pride at Work webinar in the summer of 2020. After hearing her speak, Nicole knew she wanted to connect and meet with Elder Ma-Nee one day. Fast forward to July 2022,Nicole and Elder Ma-Nee met in person in Thunder Bay, where Nicole interviewedMa-Nee for the cover of Superstar X Magazine's publication for LOVE 2022. This meeting marked the beginning of a special friendship, with Elder Ma-Nee later joiningSuperstar X’s collective as a Social Justice Advisor and as an X Artist.

Her wisdom and insights are integral to Superstar X’s purpose and ethos, making her an essential part of the team.
