Rain

Genderfluid Ojibwe and Oji-Cree Multimedia Artist

Rain (they/them) is a genderfluid Ojibwe and Oji-Cree artist based in Anemki Wequedong (Thunder Bay), within the Treaty Territory of the Fort William First Nation. Rain weaves emotional depth and personal reflection into their evocative and surreal artwork. Passionate about using layers in their paintings, they find immense joy in the process. With a heart that beats in rhythm with nature, Rain holds a deep affinity for plants and reverence for reciprocity.

Navigating the grieving process through art, they believe "healing is a wild journey." Rain's artistic journey spans outdoor murals, acrylics, digital sketches, and animation, viewing art as a profound way to heal and express love and connection.
